About the job
Join Garner Health in our mission to revolutionize the healthcare economy by delivering high-quality, affordable care for all.
At Garner, we are fundamentally reshaping the U.S. healthcare landscape by collaborating with employers to redesign healthcare benefits with clear incentives and powerful data-driven insights. Our innovative approach guides employees toward higher-quality, lower-cost care, establishing a system that benefits everyone involved. Patients experience improved health outcomes, employers utilize healthcare dollars more effectively, and physicians are rewarded for providing exceptional care rather than merely increasing procedure counts.
As one of the fastest-growing healthcare technology firms in the nation, Garner's products are trusted by some of the most sophisticated employers and providers in the industry. We are building a team of talented, mission-driven individuals dedicated to making a substantial impact on healthcare at scale.
About the Role:
We are on the lookout for a talented IT IAM and Automation Engineer to fulfill a foundational and highly technical role focused on designing, building, and maintaining the internal systems that empower Garner’s employees. Your mission will be to strengthen the operational and security frameworks, emphasizing the abstraction of common services (Identity, Configuration, Data Access) to minimize technical debt across the organization. Utilizing low-code platforms (Retool, Okta Workflows), you will deliver tailored solutions and drive automation. This position requires an owner mindset, substantial technical expertise, and a commitment to crafting resilient, secure, and scalable internal systems. You will be part of the Business Technology - Corporate Engineering team and report directly to the Director of Business Technology.
Where You Will Work:
This position is based in our New York City office. You must be available to work in the office three days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Your Responsibilities:
- Own the Internal Tooling Platform: Design and develop standards and reusable components for Garner's evolving internal tooling platform, primarily through low-code/no-code frameworks (Retool, AppSmith, etc.).
- Develop Automation as a Service: Create and sustain resilient business process automation and integrations that improve IT Service Delivery, user experience, and compliance.
- Architect Core Infrastructure: Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for corporate identity management (Okta) and modern endpoint configuration (MDM).
