About the job
Our Mission
We are on a transformative journey to make Africa the world's first cashless continent.
In 2017, over half of the population in Sub-Saharan Africa lacked access to banking services. This is due to high fees, distant branches, and the limited acceptance of cards. As a result, many individuals resort to keeping their savings at home, while small business owners depend on lenders with exorbitant interest rates. Parents often endure long wait times to pay school fees in cash.
At Wave, we are addressing these challenges by developing financial services that are straightforward and accessible: no account fees, immediate availability, and universal acceptance. Even in areas where basic services like electricity and roads are unreliable, our users can send money seamlessly. We launched our mobile app in Senegal in 2017, facilitating cash deposits, withdrawals, and peer-to-peer as well as business payments. Today, we proudly serve millions of users across nine countries and continue to expand rapidly.
Our vision is clear: to lead Africa into a cashless future, and we want you to be a part of this mission...
