About the Information Technology Team
The IT Team is a collaborative and dynamic group consisting of 13 dedicated professionals, including an IT Director, Systems Engineers, IT Operations Support Administrators, Application Support Specialists, a Database Manager, a Business Application Administrator, a Microsoft 365 Administrator, and a Law Librarian. Our mission is to provide comprehensive applications and tools, including litigation support and digital forensic solutions, essential for delivering efficient legal services to the City and County of San Francisco. We continuously research hardware and software advancements, identify technologies that meet our office's current and future needs, seamlessly integrate equipment and software into daily operations, and enhance customer satisfaction through effective customizations and timely support.
Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Operations Support Administrator I to play a crucial role in the modernization, maintenance, and reliability of our IT systems. A key responsibility will involve assisting with the migration of data from on-premises file shares to cloud-based repositories.
The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the technology stack prevalent in legal office environments and thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand setting. Familiarity with IT governance and service management principles is essential for navigating the regulatory and operational requirements of the Office. The candidate should be adept at interpreting and effectively communicating IT policies, procedures, and standards to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will also:
- Implement technology initiatives set forth by management by deploying new tools, enhancements, and solutions.
- Assess the current technical infrastructure and identify opportunities for process and technological improvements.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their technical challenges and guide them toward effective solutions.
- Enhance system efficiency through innovative problem-solving and solution design.
- Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and other supporting resources.
This position necessitates excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all levels of the Office, including the Executive Team, as well as with City partners and external vendors. A strong customer service orientation, focused on responsiveness, problem-solving, and professionalism, is critical.
Participation in a rotating on-call schedule among IT team members will be expected.
