As an integral member of the HBS IT Strategy, Academic, and Research Technologies group, you will play a key role in the Strategy, Planning, and Governance team. This position is crucial in driving the strategic alignment of the IT portfolio with our institutional goals, emphasizing a balanced and value-centric approach while promoting the adoption of advanced planning and portfolio management methodologies. Your oversight will include resource and capacity planning aimed at optimizing organizational performance.

You will possess the ability to influence executive decision-making, ensuring our IT portfolio achieves maximum value, aligns with strategic priorities, efficiently balances capacity against demand, and mitigates risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and execute processes and guidelines for assessing and prioritizing IT projects at HBS in line with the IT Strategic Plan.
- Facilitate quarterly portfolio planning and Project Review Board (PRB) meetings, ensuring compliance with IT portfolio governance standards.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including Business Relationship Managers (BRMs), Service Owners, and other functional managers to evaluate new requests, prioritize projects, and provide go/no-go recommendations to the IT Leadership team.
- Identify, analyze, and address portfolio dependencies, risks, and challenges.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive resource plans that optimize resource allocation and address organizational challenges.
- Ensure alignment between IT strategic objectives, service plans, operational frameworks, and financial portfolios.
- Continuously enhance planning processes to foster alignment and value creation within the Service Delivery Operating Model (SDOM).
- Deliver transparent reports and dashboards regarding portfolio status to facilitate informed decision-making at the executive level.
- Collaborate with project and portfolio management tool owners to influence best practices.
