Join techfirefly as an IT Program Manager, where you will spearhead the technology strategy and execution for an exciting new hospital construction project. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the implementation of IT infrastructure, applications—particularly Epic—and cybersecurity initiatives to ensure the hospital is fully operational and technically equipped for its grand opening. Your mission will be to synchronize IT delivery with construction timelines, facilities management, and clinical operations, thereby playing a crucial role in enhancing healthcare delivery.
Contract Duration: 6 to 12 months with a potential pathway to full-time employment.
On-Site Requirement: This position requires you to work in San Francisco 3 to 4 times per week.
Project Timeline: Engagement is expected to last until 2031.
Compensation: Competitive pay ranging from $90 to $100 per hour on a W2 basis, commensurate with experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the comprehensive scope, schedule, and budget for all IT-related workstreams, focusing on Epic and clinical module integration.
- Identify program-level risks and dependencies, facilitating executive-level escalations for any EHR-related hardware and software challenges.
- Monitor capital budgets, cash flow, and variances; project future operating costs including Epic licensing and post-go-live support staffing.
- Deliver progress reports and decision-making support to executive leadership, including technical dress rehearsals (TDR) and clinical cutover strategies.
- Oversee the development of technical run books to ensure seamless transitions from project teams to ongoing Epic maintenance and clinical informatics operations.
