About the Position
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become an integral part of our outpatient physical therapy team in North Phoenix. In this rewarding role, you will collaborate with licensed Physical Therapists to execute treatment plans, maintain precise documentation, and deliver outstanding patient care. Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program (mandatory)
- Active Arizona PTA certification (mandatory)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in physical therapy (new graduates will be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in outpatient physical therapy
- Background in orthopedics
Key Responsibilities
- Foster effective communication with physicians, staff, patients, and their families.
- Implement treatment plans in accordance with state board regulations.
- Address patient inquiries and provide educational support for recovery.
- Document patient care following the state practice act and organizational policies.
- Actively participate as part of the treatment team for assigned cases.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and state regulations.
- Assist in training Physical Therapy Technicians.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Comprehension of physical therapy principles and standards.
- Knowledge of therapy equipment and safe usage practices.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
- Adept at recognizing fall risks, compliance issues, and safety concerns.
- Comfortable working with patients of diverse ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities like kneeling, squatting, and overhead lifting.
- Proficient with clinical documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
