As a Junior Communication Officer, you will play a pivotal role in promoting effective and engaging communication within a technical and international setting. Your contributions will be essential in creating and distributing digital, visual, and written content that fosters information sharing, alignment, and community engagement. You will collaborate closely with central communication services and various internal stakeholders to ensure that communications are timely, consistent, and well-coordinated across multiple platforms, gaining invaluable experience in institutional communication within a diverse and mission-driven organization.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and updates of SCE Department websites, internal pages, and digital content.
- Draft, edit, and publish departmental news, announcements, and updates across various communication channels.
- Manage notifications on CERN Campus Apps to ensure clear, accurate, and timely information dissemination.
- Prepare and produce departmental newsletters by coordinating editorial inputs, ensuring consistency in tone, and proofreading content prior to publication.
- Contribute to the development of activity reports.
- Design and adapt visual communication materials (posters, leaflets, simple infographics) for both digital and print use.
- Ensure all communication materials adhere to CERN's communication and visual identity standards.
- Manage and animate internal communication channels to support engagement and information flow.
- Facilitate effective two-way communication with internal audiences.
