What We Are Looking For:
For one of our primary clients based in Brussels — a renowned European Institution — we are actively seeking Cloud Engineers to preemptively address future project demands. Candidates should have experience working in large-scale environments, particularly within multicultural public sector settings.
The Cloud Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, governing, and overseeing the implementation of secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions that support digital transformation initiatives within the European Commission.
The position demands strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS), alongside a comprehensive understanding of EU security standards, interoperability frameworks, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, NIS2, EU Cybersecurity Act).
Collaboration with IT governance bodies, security officers, DevOps teams, and external contractors is essential to ensure that cloud solutions conform to European public sector standards and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing end-to-end cloud-native and hybrid architectures utilizing Azure and/or AWS.
- Implementing high-level and low-level cloud-related best practices.
- Designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure high performance, security, and scalability.
- Defining scalable, resilient, and secure system architectures.
