Join oxio as a Junior Mobile Core Support Engineer, where you'll become an integral part of our dynamic telecom team. This hands-on role involves collaborating with our core engineering team and customer support groups to monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate real-time core network issues that may impact our customers.
In this position, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals in the telecom field, gaining invaluable knowledge about mobile telecom networks. Your primary focus will be on maintaining and enhancing oxio’s network, providing technical support, and conducting fault investigations to ensure our telecom network operates at peak performance while adhering to agreed KPIs and SLAs.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Duties
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Mobile Networks including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues by examining end-to-end call traces across multiple protocols and interfaces such as MAP, TCAP, RANAP, DIAMETER, SIP, and others.
Resolve international roaming issues reported by subscribers for both voice and data services.
Collaborate with global mobile operator engineers to conduct live tests and analyze root causes of issues.
Create on-demand dashboards to monitor specific metrics or validate service restoration post-failure.
Provide technical support to NOC engineers for issue analysis and resolution.
Act as a liaison with Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) on behalf of the telecom team.
Management Responsibilities
Respond promptly to Level 3 telecom incidents, including NOC hotline calls and emails.
Perform L3-level troubleshooting and either resolve or escalate telecom issues.
Develop KPIs and metrics to monitor key aspects of mobile network performance.
Create training materials focusing on signaling, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Coordinate fault rectification efforts with other operators and service providers.
