Join the Koch Internship Program (KIP) Summer 2026 as a Policy Intern with the Illinois Policy Institute, a leading voice for taxpayers in the state. This is a rewarding, paid 12-week experiential learning program offered by
Stand Together Fellowships, providing invaluable experience at non-profit organizations across the nation that are addressing critical societal issues. Candidates must be located within the U.S. and authorized to work in the country for the duration of the program.
During your internship, you will engage in meaningful professional tasks at a partner organization and participate in professional development sessions, including a 2-day in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, along with supportive virtual programming that occurs bi-weekly on Thursdays from 1 PM to 4 PM ET. Interns will receive a stipend of either $7,500 for full-time positions (32 hours/week) or $5,500 for part-time positions (24 hours/week).
Our programming emphasizes three key objectives:
1. Understanding the fundamental principles of a free society, including individual liberty, limited government, free markets, and the rule of law;
2. Learning about the Stand Together community’s
vision for change and how a principled approach to problem-solving can tackle society's greatest challenges; and
3. Discovering pathways to build a career dedicated to advancing liberty and a free society.
Successful candidates will undergo an interview process with both our non-profit partner organizations and staff from Stand Together Fellowships, so we highly encourage early applications!
Please be aware that all interns in the Koch Internship Program MUST be available every Thursday from 1-4 PM ET for virtual professional development training, as well as for the in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, VA from June 3-4.
