We are currently seeking a highly skilled CAT III Korean Interpreter/Translator for a pivotal role at Camp Humphreys in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. The ideal candidate will leverage their intelligence expertise to enhance the integration of Defense and National intelligence capabilities across the Department of Defense (DoD).
- Support mission planning by integrating collection, analysis, and targeting processes into operational planning, including campaign plan development and crisis management.
- Serve as the Senior Intelligence Policy Liaison, directly collaborating with the Republic of Korea (ROK) Liaison Officer for the Conditions-based Operational Plan (COT-P).
- Act as the primary liaison to the ROK OPCON Transfer Intelligence team and the Military Intelligence Management System-Combined development team.
- Oversee the evaluation and coordination of the Conditions-based OPCON Transition Plan, ensuring that regional capabilities support a seamless transition within the Combined Forces Command (CFC).
- Manage and coordinate official correspondence, agreements, and briefing materials related to transformation and C4I interoperability among agencies.
- Ensure precise translation and interpretation during meetings, briefings, and exercises.
- Participate in high-level meetings and briefings to strengthen intelligence synchronization between U.S. and ROK intelligence entities.
- Advise on ROK's capabilities and intentions to meet transformation and interoperability goals.
- Establish and nurture ROK contacts to facilitate information sharing.
- Coordinate with ROK officers to ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Collaborate with the ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff and CFC staff on real-time intelligence matters.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the organization of the ROK Intelligence Community and combined intelligence networks.
- Advise production managers on the optimal integration of Korean intelligence into U.S. systems.
- Provide interpretation support to J2, DJ2, and senior leaders as required.
