As a Lead Analyst, you will possess the expertise and proactive mindset necessary to provide timely, innovative solutions while guiding a team of analysts with varying levels of experience. Your leadership will be essential in nurturing talent and driving project success.
This position is based in Troy, MI.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and assess program technical and programmatic baselines.
- Create pioneering cost estimation techniques for diverse cost elements, including development, production, and operating support (O&S).
- Generate independent life cycle cost estimates along with risk, uncertainty, and sensitivity analyses.
- Conduct economic evaluations such as business case studies, cost/benefit analyses, and alternative analyses.
- Evaluate the credibility of cost estimates and economic analyses from both government and industry.
- Analyze industry cost proposals and assess the validity of cost-saving initiatives.
- Review contract cost and schedule performance, conducting root cause analysis for variances.
- Document and present analytical findings clearly and convincingly.
- Utilize leadership skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service and collaborate with teams to create a positive work environment.
- Mentor and develop entry-level cost analysts.
- Examine program cost, technical, and schedule baselines to identify key risk areas and articulate their potential impacts on costs.
- Communicate complex issues effectively, both verbally and in writing, to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in cost analysis, economic analysis, or relevant fields.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Leadership capabilities, with a focus on mentorship and team development.
