Qualifications
A university degree in a related field (Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Veterinary Science, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Engineering or equivalent experience). Solid background in food safety (FSMS/HACCP/quality/production) in organizations relevant to categories C0, CI, CII, CIII, CIV, and I is essential.You must be certified as an FSSC 22000 Auditor. Practical knowledge and application of ISO 22000 (risk-based approach, OPRP/CCP, validation and verification, change management, and communication) are required.Familiarity with PRPs specific to the audited sector (e.g., ISO/TS 22002-1 for food manufacturing, where applicable) and FSSC additional requirements (current version) is necessary. Proven ability to conduct audits independently with good judgment, professional demeanor, and proper technical writing skills for reports is crucial.Willingness to travel frequently (regionally/nationally) and conduct onsite audits is expected. Proficiency in information management tools is advantageous.

We are seeking a qualified Lead Auditor with extensive practical experience in the FSSC 22000 framework. You will be responsible for preparing and executing audit plans that involve sampling, process walkthroughs, and traceability assessments (including mass balance when applicable).
Your role entails evaluating compliance with ISO 22000 standards, applicable PRPs, and additional FSSC requirements such as food defense, food fraud, allergen management, service management, environmental monitoring when necessary, and fostering a culture of food safety.
As part of your duties, you will collect and document evidence, write non-conformities and observations objectively and in accordance with scheme rules. You'll also prepare and review reports, certification recommendations, and records in the certification body’s system within the established deadlines.
You will assess client corrective actions (correction, cause, and effectiveness) and provide internal technical support as required. It is essential to uphold impartiality, independence, and confidentiality while following the certification body’s procedures and the ISO/IEC 17021-1 and ISO 22003-1 standards.
Additionally, you must maintain your qualifications up-to-date with changes in the FSSC scheme, normative documents, and accreditation requirements.
