ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in constructing and managing data pipelines and services that are essential for supporting business functions, reports, and dashboards.
We leverage tools such as BigQuery/Snowflake, Airflow, Stitch/Fivetran, dbt, Tableau/Looker for our business intelligence needs, and we embrace AWS alongside some GCP technologies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines in collaboration with Data Analysts from various business functions.
- Designing, developing, and implementing scalable, automated processes for data extraction, processing, and analysis within a Data Mesh architecture.
- Mentoring junior engineers within the team.
- Becoming a trusted expert on data technologies and solutions.
- Providing hands-on troubleshooting and diagnosis for architecture and design challenges.
- Addressing and resolving technical issues as they arise.
- Identifying opportunities for enhancing how data pipelines are delivered by the department.
- Translating business requirements into technical specifications, including necessary entities to be modeled, DBT models to be built, timing, tests, and reports.
- Owning the end-to-end delivery of data models and reports.
- Conducting exploratory data analysis to support strategic decisions.
