About the job
Join Bosch as a Lead Designer in the Transmission Systems team, where you will spearhead the design and development of transmission layouts and concepts for innovative e-axle and hybrid/battery electric vehicle projects. You will establish design methodologies for planetary gears, assess transmission and system-level requirements, and optimize for cost and performance. Your role will involve taking ownership of both macro and micro geometry developments for gear sets, shafts, bearings, and lubrication systems. You will conduct technical risk assessments, define measures, and guide resolution strategies for system-level transmission issues.
Collaboration is key; you will work closely with FEA and systems engineering teams to ensure durability, NVH, and thermal simulations are effectively executed. Review and release 3D models and 2D drawings in NX while ensuring compliance with Bosch design standards and guidelines. You will also lead Teamcenter and SAP release activities for transmission assemblies and components, coordinating with cross-functional teams throughout the B-Sample to D-Sample phases, engaging with purchasing, suppliers, and plant interfaces through a concurrent engineering approach.
In this role, you will develop and uphold transmission design guidelines, standards, and best practices, while mentoring and guiding junior designers to foster cross-functional alignment among purchasing, quality, and suppliers. You will also prepare design guideline documents and establish standards for differential systems.
