About the job
KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is actively searching for dedicated middle school teachers for our 5th through 8th grade classrooms for the 2026-2027 academic year. Teachers will be assigned to a specific grade level and will play a crucial role in fostering a positive classroom environment, implementing engaging curricula, assessing student performance, collaborating with colleagues, and building strong relationships with families, among other responsibilities as directed by the school leader.
OUR EDUCATIONAL MODEL
Every grade level is supported by four homeroom teachers, each specializing in a core subject. For example, within the 6th grade team, each educator teaches their respective subject to all students in that grade. Class sizes generally consist of approximately 25 students.
The subjects available at each grade level include English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science. This specific posting focuses on candidates interested in teaching Social Studies. Please indicate any grade level preferences and relevant certifications in your application.
