About the job
At Lead, a pioneering fintech company, we are committed to constructing robust banking infrastructures that empower embedded financial products and services. Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, we operate as an FDIC-insured bank and have additional offices in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, and New York City, where our talented teams in technology, product development, design, and legal services thrive.
In a rapidly changing financial landscape marked by innovative ventures and technological breakthroughs, Lead is equipped to adapt and excel. Our team of seasoned entrepreneurs and technologists, with decades of experience navigating complex banking and payments regulations, combines regulatory insight with technological mastery to assist our fintech partners in scaling operations with compliance and creativity.
Lead provides essential attributes that every fintech seeks in a banking partner: unparalleled technical expertise from a distinguished team of developers, oversight expertise with automated compliance systems, and a commitment to transparency and operational excellence.
Role Overview:
We are on the lookout for a Lead Network Engineer to take charge of designing, implementing, and managing Lead Bank's physical and cloud network infrastructure. In our FDIC-regulated environment, ensuring network availability is critical to our banking operations, Federal Reserve connectivity, and services provided to fintech partners. This role is pivotal and highly visible.
As the leader of the Network Engineering team, you will serve as the technical expert on all networking aspects—ranging from on-premises switching and firewalls across multiple office locations and data centers to Zscaler zero trust architecture and AWS cloud networking. You will spearhead the transition of our network from a traditional on-premises model to a modern, software-defined, Infrastructure-as-Code architecture while guaranteeing continuous service to a regulated financial institution.
Reporting to the Head of IT, you will collaborate closely with security operations, cloud engineering, and support desk teams to ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and scalable network services across the organization.
