As a Lead Platform Engineer at ThoughtWorks, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients to build and enhance their systems, enabling them to effectively deliver and operate software. You will thrive in collaborative environments, drawing on diverse expertise to craft solutions tailored to organizational needs. Your technical acumen, combined with a deep understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps principles, will drive successful outcomes for clients. You will champion technical excellence and promote effective work practices as a means to achieve superior results.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze client requirements and lead the development of a technical roadmap and impactful solutions that align with their strategic business objectives.
- Advocate for best practices in Infrastructure-as-Code, adopt a Platform-as-a-Product mindset, and promote solid software delivery practices across client projects. Collaborate with business development, marketing, and capabilities teams to shape and advance ThoughtWorks’ cloud and infrastructure practices.
- Establish and refine controls and processes for continuous delivery and the evolution of infrastructure and applications, ensuring automation is integrated throughout.
- Assume a leadership role in monitoring project deliverables, ensuring that technical expectations are consistently met.
- Provide expert guidance in DevOps, cloud technologies, platform, and infrastructure engineering, both internally and at client sites.
- Build trusting partnerships with client leadership across engineering and commercial sectors, while closely collaborating with business development teams to identify infrastructure and platform opportunities in line with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Lead the design and implementation of innovative solutions to overcome current constraints and align with business policies.
- Engage in pre-sales activities, lead generation, proposal creation, and shape client engagements while educating clients and colleagues about the value of our services.
- Adopt a consultative approach to collaborating with clients’ C-level executives, influencing their strategic decisions.
