Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Lead Product Designer at Karat, you will spearhead significant design initiatives that influence our product strategy and enhance user experiences. You will play a pivotal role in shaping design standards and best practices across the organization. Your strategic insights will inform both immediate product decisions and long-term design trajectories.
- Lead impactful design initiatives across various product domains, effectively guiding cross-functional teams through intricate design challenges.
- Develop and scale our design system, ensuring governance, thorough documentation, and streamlined adoption processes to maintain uniformity across all product interactions.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to embed design thinking into our strategic planning, influencing key product decisions at the executive level.
- Conduct and manage strategic user research that steers product direction and business strategy, leveraging data and analytics to assess the impact of design on business success.
- Mentor and nurture designers of all levels, leading design critiques and fostering a culture of constructive feedback that uplifts the entire team.
- Facilitate cross-functional brainstorming sessions to address complex challenges, generating solutions that marry design aesthetics with business goals and technological capabilities.
