About the job
About Our Team:
The Sensors Division at Systems Technology Research (STR) is dedicated to pioneering advancements in sensor technologies across RF, acoustic, and electro-optical domains. We specialize in the design and development of innovative sensors and sophisticated information processing techniques, guiding projects from inception through to prototype realization. Within this division, the Subsea and Seabed Systems (SSS) Group excels in creating and delivering cutting-edge undersea sensor and signal processing systems that support intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and counter-ISR operations.
Your Role:
We are on the lookout for a Lead Program Manager with a robust technical background in undersea warfare to oversee a diverse portfolio of programs focused on future undersea systems. This role encompasses everything from concept generation to prototype development, with an aim for programs to transition into Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) or full production. Ideal candidates will have experience navigating the technology readiness spectrum and demonstrate an ability to adaptively scale processes. In this pivotal role, you will lead cross-functional teams of researchers, scientists, and engineers across multiple STR campuses, ensuring that we meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives on innovative and complex national security projects. Key responsibilities include establishing and executing program baselines, managing personnel and deliverables, and overseeing subcontractor and contract manufacturer plans while proactively addressing risks and challenges related to resources, security, and contracting, all while satisfying customer and leadership expectations.
