About the Role
As the Lead Technical Recruiter for Product & Engineering in China, you will take charge of the complete hiring process for engineering and product positions located in China, emphasizing the acquisition of senior and high-caliber candidates.
This hands-on role encompasses leadership responsibilities, where you will actively drive critical hiring initiatives while establishing high standards for technical recruitment quality, speed, and candidate signal in China.
Your success will be gauged by the quality of hires, hiring velocity, and candidate signal rather than volume.
Your Responsibilities
Lead the entire recruitment lifecycle for product and engineering roles in China, from initial intake to offer acceptance and onboarding support.
Identify and attract senior technical talent through relationship-oriented channels native to China (e.g., LinkedIn China, 脉脉, GitHub, referrals, technical communities, targeted outreach).
Collaborate closely with founders, engineering leads, and product leadership to clarify hiring requirements and uphold a high hiring standard.
Evaluate candidates based on technical depth, ownership mindset, execution capability, and ability to learn.
Facilitate interview coordination and feedback processes swiftly and clearly in a competitive market.
Ensure accurate hiring data and maintain pipeline visibility.
Contribute to shaping the technical hiring strategy at A1 for China, including market mapping, talent benchmarking, and compensation insights.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in full-cycle technical recruitment within China.
Demonstrated success in hiring software engineers, machine learning engineers, product managers, and other technical roles.
In-depth knowledge of China's technical talent landscape and sourcing channels.
Strong ability to discern technical profiles and assess genuine engineering capabilities.
Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English.
Comfortable using ATS systems and analyzing hiring metrics.
Demonstrates high ownership, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work independently.
(Industry background is flexible; experience in recruiting for tech, AI, or product teams is strongly preferred.)
