About the Department:
The Digital Retail Litigation department at BTG Pactual encompasses a wide range of civil matters, including Banking Law, Corporate Law, Consumer Law, Credit Recovery, Capital Markets, Special Situations, Special Assets, Investment Funds, and more. The team also handles criminal matters such as police orders, inquiries, and criminal actions, particularly those related to banking fraud.
Job Objective:
To strategically and operationally manage judicial processes concerning Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), focusing primarily on receivables, acquisitions, and payment methods. This role is vital for defending the Bank's interests, efficient litigation management, and providing technical support to partner areas.
Your Daily Responsibilities:
- Define the Bank's defense strategies by conducting legal analysis of cases, investigating root causes, and assessing risks.
- Coordinate technical alignments and review standardized documents with external law firms to ensure quality and compliance with internal guidelines.
- Maintain constant communication with various Bank departments to organize resources, fulfill obligations, respond to summons and citations, close cases, and negotiate agreements.
- Manage judicial and administrative demands involving the Bank and other group companies in collaboration with external partners, pertaining to mass litigation in civil, consumer, banking, capital markets, criminal, and other areas.
- Work with partner areas to develop controls, indicators, and management reports concerning judicial demands.
- Actively participate in team projects aimed at operational efficiency, process improvement, and standardization.
- Assist in analyzing judicial and extrajudicial demands to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
