Qualifications
Requirements:Assist attorneys in preparing, reviewing, and filing legal documents such as briefs, appeals, complaints, and answers.Communicate effectively with clients regarding case proceedings.Research and organize all relevant case information.Draft various legal documents, including pleadings, discovery materials, motions, and briefs.Coordinate with legal experts and serve as a liaison for all parties involved.Prepare materials and schedule court appearances.Support attorneys in case preparation by maintaining organizational systems.Help with trial preparation, including developing trial exhibits and organizing discovery documents.Manage attorney schedules and calendars.Track billable hours for assigned tasks.Demonstrate knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures.Proficient in court e-filing systems.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent experience preferred.Minimum of 4 years of experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, paralegal, or in a related litigation role.Strong familiarity with legal procedures and protocols.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Odyssey, Pacer, and ECF Filing Systems.Prior experience with Lexis Nexis and iManage is a plus.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Solid understanding of client confidentiality rules.
