We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel to join one of our portfolio companies. In this role, reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, you will serve as a vital business partner, delivering strategic legal support across the organization. Your primary focus will be to ensure adherence to relevant regulations while safeguarding and advancing the Group's commercial interests.
The position is based in Lyon, France.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide array of industry-specific contracts with partners, mainly across Europe and APAC, covering agreements related to manufacturing, supply, licensing, distribution, logistics, and service agreements.
- Act as a trusted legal advisor to internal stakeholders (Business Development, Sales, Quality, Regulatory, Industrialization, Finance, etc.) throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Ensure proactive follow-up, coordination, and transparent reporting on contract negotiations and execution.
Legal Support
- Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice to both headquarters and subsidiary teams in support of strategic projects, defining business terms, and mitigating legal risks.
- Conduct ongoing legal monitoring and analysis pertinent to operational activities and the regulatory landscape.
Corporate Law
- Oversee corporate secretarial functions in collaboration with external counsel, including board and committee meetings, statutory filings, capital increases, and corporate restructuring initiatives.
Data Protection & Privacy
- In collaboration with the Quality team, ensure compliance with applicable data protection and privacy regulations.
- Address daily privacy concerns and conduct training sessions for operational teams at headquarters and affiliates.
