We are on the lookout for a Legal Counsel to join our global legal team and lead the legal function for our U.S. operations. In this capacity, you will act as a trusted business partner, providing prompt and high-quality legal services, collaborating effectively with colleagues across various departments, and honing your skills in the legal and compliance domain.
This role offers a hybrid work environment based in our Middleton, WI office.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with sales, customer success, marketing, product, technology, delivery, and support teams to effectively manage risks.
Provide legal support and guidance on a variety of issues concerning sales, partnerships, and procurement.
Draft, negotiate, and review a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, including license agreements, confidentiality agreements, reseller/partner agreements, and service agreements.
Advise on RFP/RFQ responses and public procurement processes, balancing legal, commercial, and operational factors.
Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge within Cyclomedia regarding data protection, intellectual property, AI, cybersecurity, and other developments impacting the company and its target sectors, synthesizing this information into the company’s transactional practices.
Ensure compliance with all relevant external and internal regulations, policies, and guidelines.
Identify and capitalize on opportunities to optimize policies, legal processes, and contracts in partnership with other teams.
Represent the company’s interests and engage directly with customer counsel and negotiating teams.
Offer training and guidance on legal processes, contracting standards, and risk awareness.
Assist in corporate housekeeping and ensure the maintenance of corporate records and compliance filings.
Coordinate with and manage external advisors, lawyers, and notaries.
