Nielsen is on the lookout for a passionate and business-savvy attorney to join our Legal Department as a Legal Counsel specializing in Product & Digital support for our Audience Measurement division. This pivotal role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and data science, to proactively identify and manage legal, regulatory, privacy, and contractual risks associated with our product development and deployment strategies.
The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic environment, demonstrating a meticulous attention to detail while delivering practical and business-oriented legal solutions. This position will also entail drafting and negotiating various agreements including those related to data and information, licensing, technology, and market research, all of which are crucial in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape.
Candidates should be strong communicators, able to engage effectively with both internal stakeholders and external clients to pinpoint key issues and facilitate resolutions. The Counsel will guide teams on compliance with contracts, internal policies, and regulatory requirements, including those pertaining to AI and data privacy, while also managing agreements with networks, streaming services, digital and social media companies, data suppliers, and service/equipment providers.
