JOB SUMMARY
As an integral member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Social Work Clinician plays a vital role in providing psychosocial support to patients and their families within the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford (LPCHS). This position addresses various biopsychosocial challenges by assessing social needs linked to health status and collaboratively developing treatment plans. Responsibilities include advocacy, counseling, and practical assistance to achieve treatment goals. Additionally, the individual will consult and educate healthcare staff on the impact of psychosocial, cultural, and economic factors on patient health management while upholding the values and ethics of social work.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker represents a fully-qualified level of professional social work for individuals licensed in California. This role encompasses significant professional responsibility and independence in delivering social work services.
Social Work Clinician:
This entry-level position is designed for recent graduates and professionals with social work experience who are not yet licensed as LCSWs in California.
