Join Our Team as a Dental Hygienist!
Location: Gresham, OR
Flexible PT/Full-Time Positions Available
$50 - $55 per Hour + Comprehensive Benefits
As a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional oral care. You'll be responsible for comprehensive assessments, educating patients on maintaining their oral health, and providing essential preventative and therapeutic treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough dental hygiene assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing periodontal charting.
- Administer prophylactic treatments and periodontal maintenance, including scaling and polishing.
- Capture and analyze high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants as necessary.
- Inform patients about effective oral hygiene practices and dietary recommendations.
- Collaborate with dentists and clinical staff to create customized treatment plans.
- Maintain precise patient records and documentation.
- Uphold strict infection control standards and ensure a well-organized work environment.
- Deliver a warm and welcoming experience to all patients, addressing their inquiries with compassion.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Applied Science.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Valid Oregon Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) License.
- National Provider Identifier.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Local Anesthesia endorsement (preferred or a willingness to obtain).
- Experience with Dentrix or EagleSoft software is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to connect with diverse patient populations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent clinical skills.
- Proactive and a team player dedicated to ongoing professional development.

Additional Preferred Skills:
- Nitrous oxide permit.
- Basic understanding of sterilization and infection control procedures.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Restorative function endorsement (valid for Oregon Dental Hygiene license).
