Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Linux Cloud Engineer to join our Managed Services support team at Talworx. This role demands proficiency in administering, operating, and managing Linux KVM and server hardware to deliver outstanding services to our global clientele. The ideal candidate will possess a strong customer-centric approach, cultural sensitivity, and an eagerness to learn and adapt swiftly.
Eligibility & Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in an Enterprise Managed Service environment for a Technical Engineer.
Certification in the latest technologies related to Linux, KVM, and Kubernetes.
Willingness to work in a 24/7 support environment.
Technical Skills Required:
- Proficient in administering, operating, and managing Linux KVM servers.
- Strong experience in Linux administration and command line interface.
- Knowledge of Virtual Machine operations and configurations.
- Familiarity with High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and other clustering features.
- Experience in performance monitoring and creating performance charts.
- Networking knowledge at both Linux and KVM levels.
- Proficient in storage configurations, including iSCSI, FC, Software iSCSI, and RDM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve customer issues via telephone, email, or remote sessions.
- Identify and escalate issues promptly to vendors in accordance with process guidelines.
- Utilize internal technical expertise, including peers, mentors, knowledge bases, community forums, and other tools, to provide effective solutions.
- Collaborate with technology teams to diagnose and isolate complex issues.
- Maintain quality documentation on cases, SLA timeframes, and operational metrics.
- Adhere to productivity measures as outlined in team scorecards.
- Manage problem resolution, conduct post-incident reviews, and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
