Position Overview
We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Litigation Assistant to become a vital part of our team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our law firm, providing essential administrative support to our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust work ethic, outstanding problem-solving abilities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute administrative tasks including scheduling hearings, managing case files, and coordinating logistics.
- Maintain accurate pleadings and discovery indexes.
- Organize and manage exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
- Enhance and streamline administrative processes for improved efficiency.
- Collect, evaluate, and organize evidence and legal documents for attorney analysis and case preparation.
- Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, including pleadings and contracts.
- Conduct research on regulations, laws, and legal articles to support report preparation and legal advice.
- Oversee client billing by preparing, finalizing, and distributing invoices and addressing billing inquiries with the billing attorney.
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to coordinate meetings, interviews, and depositions.
- Manage and organize documents within both paper and electronic filing systems.
- Perform additional related duties as required to fulfill the needs of the business.
