Summary
We are on the lookout for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with our accomplished attorneys, providing essential support throughout all phases of litigation, from pre-trial preparations to post-trial activities.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda.
- E-file all court documents in both state and federal courts.
- Facilitate communication with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and factual investigations.
- Prepare discovery documents, including interrogatories and responses.
- Draft and serve summons.
- Coordinate and summarize depositions.
- Prepare trial binders and exhibits for court proceedings.
- Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents for filing in court.
- Perform administrative tasks such as calendaring hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
- Maintain organized indexes for pleadings and discoveries.
- Arrange exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices.
- Support attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests.
- Gather pertinent information from various sources.
- Act as a liaison between trial teams and internal or external third parties.
- Prepare witnesses for trial.
- Assist with case settlements as needed.
- Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by the attorney.
Qualifications
- Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience in a relevant field is preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience is required.
- Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is preferred.
- Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises Liability, or other injury-related practice areas is preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and manage workload with a positive attitude while requiring minimal supervision.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
