About the Role
Join our innovative team as an LLM / Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Manager and spearhead our strategy to enhance brand visibility in responses generated by leading AI platforms and answer engines. This pivotal role merges advanced LLM optimization with structured content strategy and foundational SEO principles to reshape how AI systems access and present information.
You will define strategic objectives, collaborate with external partners, and convert intricate AI and search concepts into actionable business strategies that drive measurable growth and visibility for our products.
Key Responsibilities
LLM & Answer Engine Strategy
- Direct the strategy to enhance the visibility of our brand and products across major LLM-powered platforms and AI answer engines in the UK and US markets.
- Identify key prompts, topics, and user intents that significantly influence AI-generated responses.
- Create frameworks to optimize content for discoverability, citation, and retrieval by LLMs.
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
- Utilize structured content, schema, entity optimization, and knowledge graph principles to enhance answer engine visibility.
- Collaborate closely with content, product, and marketing teams to ensure information is accurate, structured, and compatible with AI.
SEO Integration
- Employ extensive knowledge of traditional SEO (technical, on-page, and authority signals) to support overall discoverability.
- Align LLM optimization initiatives with existing organic search strategies.
Agency & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with external SEO/AEO/AI optimization agencies and consultants.
- Establish clear objectives, KPIs, and deliverables for partners to ensure exceptional execution.
- Act as the internal subject-matter expert, simplifying complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Performance & Reporting
- Determine success metrics for LLM and answer engine visibility.
- Set realistic, data-driven targets and roadmaps.
- Monitor performance, experiment with approaches, and adapt strategies based on insights and evolving platform changes.
