The Logistics Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing shipping, receiving, inventory management, and material handling within the Halos packhouse. The ideal candidate comes with a background in the agricultural sector or warehousing and packing operations, demonstrating a robust understanding of logistical processes. This role involves providing both technical and administrative guidance to logistics operations while fostering the development of high-performing teams. The Logistics Supervisor directly manages a team of 8 or more Leads, Planners, and Logistics Specialists, supported by over 70 hourly employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee adherence to FIFO and WMS inventory processes across facilities and external storage.
- Handle administrative tasks including inventory reporting, labor management, and budgeting.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly data collection and analysis.
- Enhance the capabilities of the hourly workforce by focusing on skill development.
- Manage daily inventory systems and processes to achieve business objectives.
- Regularly evaluate work processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Report on inventory status, FIFO positions, and address exceptions; implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient goods movement while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Establish, implement, and maintain standard work procedures.
- Identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and communicate effective solutions.
- Supervise and assess employee performance; conduct training and evaluations.
- Coordinate inventory movement and storage across various facilities, including external ones.
- Mentor and guide the hourly workforce; monitor and assess employee performance.
- Provide effective leadership and consistent feedback to team members, embodying and promoting company values.
