Join the West Virginia Department of Education as a dedicated Long Term Substitute Language Arts/Art Instructor and Virtual School Facilitator. In this pivotal role, you will inspire students through engaging instruction in language arts and art, while facilitating a vibrant virtual learning environment.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00 | Year 3 - $19.50 | Year 4 - $19.50 | Year 5 - $20.50
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach and facilitate a comprehensive curriculum in Language Arts and Art, ensuring an inclusive and stimulating learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance teaching strategies and student engagement.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to foster academic growth.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff, promoting a positive educational experience.
• Participate in professional development and training sessions as required.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to engage with students in various learning environments, with flexibility to adapt teaching methods as needed.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
• Previous teaching experience in a virtual environment is a plus.
