About the Role
We are excited to welcome an M&A Analyst to our team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid finance background eager to engage in rigorous investment analysis and proactive deal sourcing. Emphasizing execution, you will develop financial models, assess investment theses, and facilitate thorough due diligence processes. Simultaneously, you will play a crucial role in identifying and engaging with software founders, aiding in the growth of Lighthouse's acquisition pipeline.
The perfect candidate thrives in analytical challenges and finds fulfillment in forging relationships with entrepreneurs.
You will gain hands-on experience throughout the M&A lifecycle, from sourcing to initial outreach, due diligence, investment committee presentations, and post-acquisition integration.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Analysis & Execution
- Develop comprehensive financial models, valuation analyses, and return frameworks.
- Perform scenario analysis to evaluate risk and investment potential.
- Assist in financial, commercial, and operational due diligence.
- Prepare investment memoranda and materials for the Investment Committee.
- Analyze recurring revenue quality, retention metrics, and profitability drivers.
- Support post-acquisition transition planning and value creation initiatives.
Deal Origination & Founder Engagement
- Identify vertical market software companies that match Lighthouse’s acquisition criteria.
- Conduct market mapping across niche software sectors.
- Craft targeted outreach strategies to engage with founders and CEOs.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with software entrepreneurs.
