Join Us as a Maintenance Manager in the Engineering Department!
Location: Beenham
Salary: Up to £55,000 DOE
Working Hours: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10am – 6pm (flexibility required based on business needs).
At Marley, manufacturing is at the core of our operations, enabling us to deliver the UK’s top roofing products to our customers! We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager who will report directly to our Site Engineering Manager. This pivotal role plays an essential part in the daily operations of our site.
Your Role:
You will lead a dynamic team of 13 direct reports and 4 indirect reports, overseeing essential operational activities which include ensuring the safe operation of our plant and equipment, maintaining safety and quality standards, managing waste, meeting OEE targets, and leading people management initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring that process control checks and records adhere to company standards, managing quality incidents through a non-conformance process, and ensuring all affected products or materials are properly contained and controlled.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Engineering Maintenance team to successfully execute production plans, service levels, and engineering strategy while adhering to quality, safety, and cost parameters.
- Oversee Major Incident Reports (MIR) and collaborate with colleagues to pinpoint the root causes of significant equipment failures, implementing effective countermeasures.
- Develop and execute an engineering strategy aimed at enhancing reliability, safety, quality, and asset utilization through effective team management.
- Promote best practice maintenance principles across the organization.
- Manage daily site operations which include Engineering systems, structures, resources, processes, and operational methodologies.
- Ensure the delivery of engineering KPIs that align with manufacturing objectives and performance.
- Engage in diverse projects and liaise with vendors and contractors to meet production and maintenance deadlines.
- Identify best practices within and beyond the organization, collaborating with stakeholders to implement them while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and develop your team, enhancing performance through appraisals, performance management, and personal development plans.
