We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in South Africa. This role, based in Cape Town and utilizing a hybrid work model (approximately 50% office-based), will play a crucial role in supporting both regional and group finance operations. Your responsibilities will include management reporting, cost control, and performance analysis, along with contributing to essential transactional finance processes such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management Accounting
- Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts to facilitate decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis and closely monitor departmental expenditures.
- Assist in month-end closing processes and reconciliation activities.
- Provide insightful commentary and actionable recommendations to the Finance Manager and key stakeholders.
- Mentor and support junior finance team members to foster professional growth.
2. Transactional Finance
- Ensure the accuracy of accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile customer receipts and supplier payments effectively.
- Monitor cash positions and contribute to both short- and long-term cash flow forecasting.
- Assist with payment runs and bank reconciliations.
- Collaborate with internal departments and global teams on finance-related matters.
3. Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify and implement process enhancements, automation, and best practices.
- Support the integration of finance tools and systems.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, finance policies, and audit standards.
