About the job
Our Vision
At Vertical Aerospace, we are at the forefront of revolutionizing electric aviation. Our eVTOL (electric, vertical take-off and landing) aircraft, the Valo, is designed to achieve 'zero emissions' and aims to establish new benchmarks for safety in the skies.
We are committed to breaking away from traditional aerospace practices to redefine industry standards. As we transition from a prototype company to a scaling SME, the upcoming years are pivotal in realizing our ambitious objectives, including achieving airliner-level safety certification for Valo by 2028.

This team spearheads New Product Introduction (NPI) and the industrialisation of our manufacturing and assembly systems, facilitating the launch of our innovative aircraft into the market.
You will take charge of developing and implementing manufacturing systems that will support Valo’s transition into low-rate production and beyond, ensuring that we meet our ambitious production volume targets and shift from innovation to operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the integration of Design for Manufacture (DfM) principles, focusing on composite manufacturing.
- Drive industrialisation initiatives across composite and assembly areas, collaborating closely with the supply chain.
- Conduct supplier capability assessments and technical engagements to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Establish and implement best practices in Manufacturing Engineering for the Valo.
- Develop and industrialise manufacturing capabilities within Vertical Aerospace’s production facilities.
- Promote lean manufacturing principles throughout our operations.
- Oversee Supplier PPAP work and technical approvals.
