Job Summary
We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer specializing in CNC Operations who excels in a fast-paced, high-volume precision machining environment. In this role, you will lead CNC process development, toolpath planning, and optimization across a variety of multi-axis machines, creating components essential for the defense of the U.S. homeland with micrometer precision. If you possess the ability to strategize complex toolpaths, instinctively adjust feeds and speeds, and thrive under pressure, we invite you to join our mission.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead CNC path planning and G-code generation for high-precision parts (lathe work required; 5-axis experience is an advantage).
• Program and optimize CNC operations using Mastercam, encompassing toolpath strategy and post-processing.
• Select and qualify cutting tools, inserts, and materials to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Design and validate custom workholding and fixturing solutions to minimize setup time and maximize throughput.
• Analyze cycle times, tool wear, and process variations across multiple machines to implement improvements.
• Integrate and optimize robotic part loading/unloading systems and automated machining cells.
• Troubleshoot CNC, tooling, and programming challenges in real time alongside production teams.
• Generate and sustain setup sheets, standard work instructions (SWIs), and process documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and ongoing improvement initiatives.
