Who will you collaborate with?
The Manufacturing Test Engineer will engage with a diverse Engineering team to design, implement, and enhance tools, fixtures, and scripts aimed at automating the testing processes for various Industrial Electronics products at both internal and external manufacturing and repair facilities.
How will you contribute to our success?
- Collaborate cross-functionally with local quality, operations, lean, and shop support teams to formulate strategies, align resources, and ensure successful execution.
- Research, define, design, analyze, and validate production testing protocols for new products.
- Create, develop, and maintain tools, fixtures, and scripts utilized for automating Board Level and Assembly Level testing.
- Generate comprehensive production support documentation, including test procedures and fixture documentation.
- Stay updated on relevant company and industry standards regarding electronics Verification and Validation.
- Support initiatives aimed at standardizing manufacturing test platforms.
What does a typical day involve?
- Assist in defining test requirements/specifications, project plans, and other engineering documentation.
- Design and develop production test scripts, software, and fixtures to validate production hardware.
- Generate production support documentation, encompassing test procedures and fixture documentation.
- Review the designs created by fellow engineers for completeness, accuracy, cost efficiency, and adherence to specifications.
- Investigate and address product failures.
- Work with suppliers to resolve issues.
- Provide training to production personnel on new or updated tests.
