Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a dedicated and organized Maritime Case Manager to enrich our team. In this role, you will manage a diverse caseload while assisting attorneys in formulating settlements, preparing essential documents, and drafting correspondence. The perfect candidate will be customer-oriented, compassionate, and adept at handling multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage daily with existing and prospective clients through phone calls and in-person meetings.
- Request medical records from providers and liaise with clients and healthcare professionals throughout treatment.
- Gather necessary documentation to substantiate injury and/or liability claims.
- Coordinate with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to retrieve records and verify account balances.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and manage deductions of outstanding medical balances with providers.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues involved in the management and support of case files.
- Ensure all case files are meticulously organized.
- Draft comprehensive demand letters and compile supporting documentation for submission to insurance carriers.
- Collaborate with attorneys to present case summaries when required.
- Oversee case files from initial intake to final closing under attorney supervision.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned to support business needs.
