Objective of the Position
The Market Segment Manager will strategically and operationally lead the market segment, focusing on developing market strategies, enhancing customer orientation, and supporting global sales and marketing units.
Market Development:
- Contribute to defining and implementing growth initiatives for market segments.
- Support the overall marketing strategy of the segment.
Product Marketing:
- Identify market needs and trends.
- Contribute to market-related objectives for R&D, marketing, product management, technical support, and supply chain operations.
- Identify unique selling propositions (USPs) of products and ensure the execution of the marketing plan in collaboration with marketing teams.
Strategy Management:
- Help develop your market segment in collaboration with the Cluster Manager and the Global Market Leader.
- Participate in defining market strategy and translating it into an actionable plan under the responsibility of the Global Market Manager.
- Support business developers' initiatives with sales units.
- Facilitate work sessions with business developers and BU sales teams to gain consensus on market growth initiatives.
- Analyze sales and marketing results with the Sales Excellence teams and suggest strategy adjustments.
- Report to division management on sales performance and revenue forecasts.
- Consolidate forecasts for SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning).
Sales, Marketing, and Pricing Strategy:
- Ensure a customer-oriented culture within sales and marketing teams and align market-related services.
- Contribute to the establishment of a global pricing policy considering regional market expectations and participate in the proposal development to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
- Develop sales plans for your market segment.
- Define target audiences, create an overview of the network of key/strategic customers, and implement initiatives.
- Ensure budget goals are met to support the department head.
- Manage specific key customer accounts and negotiate business opportunities with relevant sales leaders as needed.
- Participate in designing marketing campaigns for your market and track their performance.
