AECOM is actively seeking a dynamic Marketing Proposal Specialist III to become an integral member of our West Specialist Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our West Region business development and operations teams on various pursuits. Your primary responsibilities will include contributing to the preparation of both formal and informal client solicitations, such as requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), pre-qualification efforts, and client interviews.
This position is hybrid, offering flexibility with a blend of remote and in-office work. Possible base locations include Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Los Angeles/Orange, CA; and San Francisco/Oakland, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage medium- to large-scale proposals and presentations, providing support throughout all stages from capture to interview.
- Collaborate with capture managers to devise winning strategies from the onset of capture activities through to interview readiness.
- Craft annotated outlines and content plans, guiding technical teams on optimal section structures and messaging.
- Act as the principal writer and editor for tailored resumes, past performance sections, executive summaries, and management approaches for proposals.
- Facilitate color reviews (Pink and Red team) and quality reviews, integrating lessons learned to enhance proposal value.
- Oversee revisions of proposals and presentations as per feedback from review teams.
- Contribute insights during go/no-go and greenlight analyses, ensuring alignment with delegation of authority, capture planning, and positioning criteria.
- Conduct internal debriefs for proposals you lead, utilizing previous pursuit debrief information. Assist the team during win/loss debriefs and the collection of client feedback on proposals to promote continuous improvement.
- Support marketing or pursuit strategy and content development related to clients/markets, marketing communications, campaigns, account managers (CAMs), and business lines.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior proposal team members.
- Conduct thorough self-reviews of all work prior to submission for review or approval.
