JOB SUMMARY
We are on the lookout for a master's-level clinical trainee to join our school-based programs, collaborating with schools in the Moundsview, White Bear Lake, and St. Paul districts. Clinical Trainees will work directly within the school environment, assisting students referred by our school partners and engaging with parents, families, and other key stakeholders in the child’s life. Community involvement is essential to effectively engage families in our services.
Ideal candidates should possess knowledge of family systems and their influence on individual mental health, along with an understanding of the diagnostic assessment process, treatment planning, and diverse therapeutic interventions suitable for children, families, and individuals, including crisis intervention. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to maintain professional relationships with school staff and families, facilitating service coordination and efficient referrals. Proficiency in using computers and online electronic health records, as well as Microsoft systems, for clinical documentation and communication, is required. Strong organizational skills for managing availability during school hours, along with potential afternoons or evenings, are essential. The ability to transport oneself between client homes, clinics, and community locations is also necessary.
