About the job
Join our esteemed team at the Centrum voor Angst- en Dwangstoornissen, part of Vincent van Gogh Topreferente Zorg, where we specialize in high-quality patient care for individuals aged 18 to 65 who are grappling with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders that significantly impact their daily lives. Our center provides advanced treatment for patients whose symptoms are severe enough to cause dysfunction, especially when secondary treatments have proven ineffective. Our approach focuses on behavioral change, empowering patients to take control of their lives and not be dominated by their anxiety and compulsive issues. Key treatment modalities include exposure therapy with response prevention, supplemented by various cognitive-behavioral interventions. We are pioneering new virtual reality applications for anxiety and OCD treatment and utilize 360-degree cameras for remote exposure therapy via telehealth.
As an intern, you will be warmly welcomed into our psychology team and will have the opportunity to conduct intake and advisory sessions under supervision. You will assist in administering Routine Outcome Measurement (ROM) questionnaires and integrate these findings into treatment plans. Additionally, you will gain valuable experience as a co-therapist in various treatment components grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy, with a strong emphasis on exposure with response prevention. Weekly team meetings will be available for your participation. There is also the option, upon agreement, to join our 'co-team' for environmental therapy or engage in creative therapies such as art therapy and psychomotor therapy. Opportunities for conducting diagnostics are also available in collaboration with the Neuropsychiatry Center.
