As a Master Teacher at Crystal Stairs, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of preschool children. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing engaging classroom programs that adhere to the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework as well as the California Preschool Learning Foundations. You will work collaboratively with a teaching team to develop tailored educational plans for each child, ensuring a comprehensive approach to their development.
Your role will also involve conducting thorough assessments of child development and behavior, utilizing tools such as the Desired Results Developmental Profile and observational notes to create meaningful Individualized Goals and Transitional Plans. You will support children in developing both verbal and non-verbal communication skills, fostering their familiarity with their dominant language.
In addition to evaluating classroom quality through the Early Childhood Education Rating Scale (ECERS), you will implement action plans for improvement based on assessment findings. You will nurture children's creativity through various mediums such as art, music, and drama while promoting self-awareness and the expression of emotions.
Maintaining a safe and orderly classroom environment is paramount; you will supervise children at all times and conduct facility inspections to ensure safety. Your commitment to providing a warm and supportive atmosphere will enable quality learning experiences while addressing the needs of all children, including those with disabilities.
