- Manage and ensure the precise and timely flow of materials and supplies, taking charge of overall material management and warehouse operations in Engineering and Construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee material inventory management and the issuance of materials.
- Implement and supervise the project inventory control strategy, including material management planning and project material procedures, personnel needs, inventory stock levels (work front), and overall project material security plan.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure the timely delivery of materials to the construction site.
- Conduct inspections and quality assessments of received materials.
- Manage operational costs associated with the warehouse and lay down area.
- Review logistics plans and collaborate with procurement, construction, project controls, and project management for timely material delivery.
- Identify material requirements and initiate procurement activities.
- Ensure adherence to approved material control practices and guidelines.
- Engage in material control estimation, planning, staffing, scheduling, and forecasting, while managing budget and deviations.
- Confirm ESDR statuses and corrective actions as necessary.
- Report inventory material status to the construction team.
- Confirm the material needs for each construction phase.
- Ensure proper preservation of inventory materials.
- Facilitate the handover of spare parts to clients.
- Identify remaining materials for purchase and handover.
- Disseminate MCM instructions and report on HQ status.
- Collaborate with headquarters logistics and guide local forwarders proactively.
