What does this role entail?
As a Material Flow Improvement Technician, you will gain valuable hands-on experience across all aspects of Stores, Packing, and Shipping within our Motion Control Business Unit. Your primary focus will be on identifying and executing continuous improvement initiatives aimed at minimizing waste, enhancing accuracy, and optimizing material flow. This role will require close collaboration with our Lean team, Supply Chain department, front-line leaders, and the Business Unit Leader.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
Department: Motion Control
Interview Process: The interview process consists of two stages after shortlisting: First Stage: 1-hour Teams interview, Second Stage: 3-hour onsite interview.

Where You’ll Be Working:
Our state-of-the-art facility is located just 12 miles from Cambridge, set in the picturesque medieval city of Ely. There are convenient train and bus links to Ely from Kings Cross and Liverpool Street in London, and our site is easily accessible from Ely train and bus stations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and implementation
- Solid understanding of lean and continuous improvement principles
- Experience in a material handling environment (Stores, Packing, Logistics)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of developing and delivering effective training materials
- Excellent administrative, planning, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications
- A collaborative mindset to advance continuous improvement projects to completion
- Innovative thinking with openness to new ideas
- A robust work ethic, demonstrating initiative and commitment
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
Preferred Responsibilities:
Daily time allocation is flexible, prioritizing customer deadlines.
