Position Overview:
The Material Planner and Logistics Specialist will play a critical role in the efficient planning, procurement, and oversight of materials and logistics to meet production and operational requirements. This position entails liaising with suppliers and customers, managing inventory levels, and refining the supply chain to align with production timelines and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Planning: Formulate and sustain material plans that guarantee the prompt availability of raw materials and components for production. Assess demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory levels to generate precise material needs.
- Supplier Coordination: Work alongside suppliers and customers to navigate procurement processes, negotiate conditions, and ensure timely material delivery. Evaluate supplier performance and address any supply chain challenges.
- Inventory Management: Supervise inventory levels, monitor material consumption, and deploy strategies to optimize stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and shortages. Conduct regular inventory checks and resolve discrepancies.
- Logistics Coordination: Organize logistics functions, including transportation, storage, and distribution. Ensure materials are delivered punctually and in excellent condition to designated locations.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Examine data related to material consumption, inventory levels, and supply chain efficiency. Prepare reports and presentations to convey insights effectively.
