Job Summary:
We are currently on the lookout for a meticulous and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing models and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for power distribution equipment, including Metal-Clad Switchgear, Metal-Enclosed Switchgear, and Panelboards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze electrical diagrams and specifications provided by the electrical engineering team.
- Transform electrical drawings into comprehensive mechanical packages, including elevations, section views, and BOMs.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering to integrate mechanical components into the drawing package.
- Prepare and release BOMs for purchasing and fabrication processes.
- Implement new product designs and modifications into our production engineering systems.
- Provide technical support to the manufacturing team regarding project-related queries and challenges.
- Engage with electrical engineering and project management teams as needed.
- Regularly update supervisors on job status and any potential issues.
